Autumn Production 2011 Karen’s Garden Written and Directed by Cherry Woodhouse 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd October
Cast list
Welcome to Karen’s garden. The lawns are immaculate, the paths are clear of leaves, the flowers dead-headed. Her garden may be perfect, but her life is a complicated mess. Her 18 year marriage to Rob has hit a rough patch, her daughter is dating an inappropriate young man and a teenage lodger is eating her out of house and home.
This complex comedy drama is full of secrets, lies, and the usual shock announcements which we have come to expect from author, Cherry Woodhouse, who gave us The Engagement, Style, Women Without Husbands and co-wrote Contemporary Canterbury.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this production verry nearly a sell out show and a great press review in the Mid Sussex Times! Let's see how it does at the Brighton and Hove Drama Awards on the 12 December.

A big thankyou to Oli for standing in following a last minute cast crisis.
Helena, a young woman of humble origins, cures the King of France of an ulcer. In gratitude, the King offers Helena her choice of royal
husband. The man of Helena's dreams is Bertram, son of her guardian, the Countess of Rossillion. Despite Bertram's objections, the King
insists on their marriage. Immediately after the wedding, Bertram joins the army and flees to Italy to fight. He writes to Helena saying he
will never be her husband unless she can get pregnant with his child - which will never happen. But Helena is made of tough stuff and
determines to succeed. This play has it all - love, betrayal, sex, loss, reconciliation and forgiveness. And quite lot of laughs along the way.
