Burgess Hill Theatre Club

Burgess Hill Theatre Club is a long established part of the community bringing entertainment, through various activities, to the local people of the Mid Sussex area.

We currently boast over 230 Theatre Club Members, some of whom have been with the club from its beginning.

Young as well as old are welcome - We run a junior workshop on a Thursday evening for 10 year olds and over and a class for 7-10's on a Saturday morning. Please contact us if you would like to take part.

We generally aim produce 3 to 4 productions each year for the general public as well as some just for the club. Most of our productions are staged at the club whilst the annual Pantomime, our largest production, is performed at the Martlets Hall - performing this year to over 3,000 people! Our Directors generally come from within the club although both this year and last year we have been approached by external young directors and have agreed to stage some quite radical and new shows. As you will se below there are many opportunities to get involved in the club from backstage and fund raising to being out front performing. We hope that this web site conveys some of the excitement that comes from being involved in this lively and sociable club!

There is a regular junior members workshop and out side of our annual pantomime we generally do at least three other major dramatic productions a year. We are almost always supporting town events and have often been THE event in the town.

On top of this, we have regular club social events which have ranged from murder mystery nights to Kareoki, other regular events include:- play readings, annual BBQ, Quiz Nights, Coffee mornings. It really is a great place to meet new people and be a real part of the community. If you just want to be a part of the social scene you simply join as a patron member.
