SYNOPSIS: The entire play takes place in the morning room of Sybil Walling’s house in Hampstead. In Sybil’s absence her children call in the chimney sweep, whose brushes dislodge not only soot, but also a body. When Sybil returns she has some surprising news for them….
As the story unfolds there are some hilarious misunderstandings and surprises.
Brush with A Body was first performed in 1962 at St. Martin's Theatre, London
PLAYWRIGHT: Maurice McLoughlin wrote this play in 1962. Not a lot of information could be found about his life or work, but other plays of his include 'Letter From The General' (1961), an adaptation of Frank Richard's 'Billy Bunters Christmas Circus' (1962) and 'Shadow In The Sun (1963).
