His love, the Jumbly Girl, has gone away and he cries constantly, but he takes them to see the Quangle Wangle, who suggests they go on a trip. Along the way they have great adventures meeting the villainous Plum Pudding Flea, The Runcible Spoon, the eccentric Professor Bosh, the Pig with a ring through it's nose, The Jumblies and of course the Turkey vicar, who finally marries them.
