SYNOPSIS: Set in a convent 'Magdalene' laundry, Eclipsed tells the story of a group of women, many of whom had their illegitimate babies taken from them against their will, and of the nuns whose duty it was to manage the laundry and ensure that the women remained there.
We share the women's heartbreak and humour, their laughter and their tears.
PLAYWRIGHT: Patricia Burke Brogan, a former novice nun used her experience of working in an institutional convent laundry to write this fictional play.
