SYNOPSIS: This version of the famous Matron of Ephesus, tells the story of a maid and her pious widow employer, who mourns for the death of her recently deceased husband. The maid is not quite so pious, yet both women begin to suffer the pangs of a self-imposed hunger and there are signs that they are also unhappy over the loss of male company. However, it's not until a handsome guard appears that the widow begins regretting withdrawing from the world.

BHTC NOTES: A meal of pizza and salad followed by fruit was enjoyed by audiences, before the production commenced.
